Oak Bay Bicycles is a family run bike shop with stores in Victoria, Nanaimo, and Westshore. The shop originally began in Victoria in 1934 with ownership passing hands a few times. Since then, the Victoria shop has seen some location changes within Oak Bay, in 2008 Oak Bay Bikes started a Nanaimo location, and in 2010 Oak Bay Bikes opened a Westshore location.
The backdrop of Vancouver Island, is a cyclists dream. Many of our customers ride year round, as do we! There is unlimited amounts of breathtaking commuter trails, road rides, and mountain bike trails to discover at every turn. We at Oak Bay Bikes strive to carry the best bike brands, products, accessories, parts, and apparel to serve our customers. Our staff love what they do, and you can find many of them out riding around town, on the mountain, or on the road- we are cyclists ourselves, so we know our stuff. As evidence of this, our Victoria store has been voted as the “Best Bike Shop” in Victoria by Black Press, for the last 4 years in a row!
Oak Bay Bicycles carries the latest and greatest in every category of cycling including: road, mountain (26″, 650B, 29″), cyclocross, hybrid, urban fixies, e-bikes, bmx, dirt jump, and kids. We carry parts, accessories, apparel, helmets, shoes, and more to match your cycling preference. Beyond that, we have an advanced and highly skilled Service Department, who specialize in short turn-arounds across all of our stores.
